Bordeaux UNESCO

A vibrant city with a rich and unique heritage, listed Unesco World Heritage Site and the world’s wine capital, Bordeaux is an ideal stopover for your stay

A city listed World Heritage Site

With over 350 buildings listed or registered historical monuments, Bordeaux is the first city to be designated ‘outstanding urban and architectural ensemble’ by UNESCO. Explore on foot, by bus or by bicycle the historic centre with its 18th century facades, and the contemporary Bordeaux with its landscaped quaysides and Water Mirror reflecting the monumental Palais de la Bourse stock exchange.

Bordeaux, World Wine Capital

Recognised internationally for the quality of its vineyards and its prestigious châteaux, Bordeaux has opened the Cité du Vin (City of wine) in 2016 a unique venue of discoveries and experiences around wine-related expertise and civilizations.

Art de vivre

Bordeaux is also notable for its lifestyle: southwestern gastronomy, quality restaurants with internationally renowned chefs at their helm (Joël Robuchon, Gordon Ramsay, Philippe Etchebest), wine bars, terraces, markets, shops, festivities… The wide variety of flavours and activities make Bordeaux a choice cultural stopover.
